Knights Code 10 Rules of Chivalry

KNIGHTS CODE OF CHIVALRY
"all knights should protect others who cannot protect themselves, such as widows, children, and elders."
The 10 Rules of Chivalry are: HUMILITY. GRATITUDE. COURAGE. JUSTICE. GENEROSITY. DISCIPLINE. FAITH. EQUALITY. LOVE. DEATH.
This code basically tells us as warriors that it is our divine duty to protect and uplift the weak and needy. This can be very difficult at times in a society where uniting with the strong and successful for personal gain is not only encouraged, it is taught to us since childhood. We have learned to be comfortable ignoring and abandoning our elders, and stepping over and ignoring the sick in needy all in the pursuit of gain for ourselves and claimed love ones. Even if we have plenty for our self it is acceptable to dedicate our efforts and energy only to those and that which can help us to gain more, so we can compete with or beat out our competition.
In a GREAT society that has prospered further than most, it is easy to get lost in the morale of selfishness and selflessness. The more that we give ourselves to the people who can't help us move forward, the further we and the future of our responsibilities get pushed back financially. It can become a battle of self survival not only for ourselves but also for our loved ones when we choose to be "chivalrous". To serve the benefit of the weak and needy sounds great in a fairytale but in reality unless we are a billionaire or funded by never ending government money, it can be a suicide mission.
Ancient codes such as the Knights Code of Chivalry were easier to live by back then than they are today because those who lived by these codes were taken care of by a rich estate that supported their efforts. As long as they served their duty to a power they could not be arrested. They would not be without a roof. They would not be without food. However, there was one thing that they could easily end up without on a daily basis. Their LIFE!
In our modern society we don't have to deal with raids from savage tribes, catapults of fireballs from wooden ships, or surprise night attacks from evil raiders. Our lives are rarely at risk when or if we choose to stand up for the weak and needy. It only costs us something that we can easily replace, ...time and money.
To serve this code with effort we don't need to overextend our self in this modern world of dog eat dog. We only need to engage when we can BUT we must be SURE TO ENGAGE, "when, ...we, ...CAN!" Our elders are the reasons behind our opportunities to prosper as we are now prospering. We must NEVER abandon them. Our children are the future that will hold up that which we will build. We must never shame or ignore them. Our sick and needy are the living examples of where we as a society have failed and are weak. We must never mistreat them.
Here are the 10 Rules of the Knights Code of Chivalry:
Humility
Gratitude
Courage
Justice
Generosity
Discipline
Faith
Equality
Love
Death
The warrior serves the Code of Chivalry by first assuring never to HURT or MAKE WORSE the condition of those named in this virtue. The warrior then further serves this virtue by taking care of those who are within his or reach who are named in this virtue. No one can save the world alone, but we all can save the world one at a time together.
And THIS, ...is a "way" of the "Warrior's Edge"! -Jermaine Andre'
