Here's why knowing WHEN to strike is the most important element during a confrontation or self-defense situation.
What is the most important factor in executing an effective self-defense maneuver that allows you to safely get away as fast as you can with little to no injuries to yourself, and minimal chance of retaliation. And keep in mind that retaliation can come later from law enforcement if your act of self-preservation impeded on your targets right to be safe from the attack of a person like you.
There are many unexpected and even unknown factors during a self-defense situation that can lead to later retaliations if you weren't 100% in the right. Or! Maybe you were 100% right in your effort but you didn't make an effective enough attack and now your foe is coming to re-engage you but this time with his knife in hand.
